Rangers lead the way!
They are the best of the best, confident, strong, leaders that are able to make quick decisions in intense situations. They are brave and they pay the price for others freedoms because it is who they are. Rangers never forget their fallen comrades.
In 2002, the 75th Ranger Memorial Board was founded to establish a fitting Memorial to the Rangers of 1/75 who died in combat or training since the Battalion's reactivation at Fort Stewart/ Hunter Army Airfield in 1974. The past five years of diligence, hard work and planning have paid off. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 5 March 2007, and the formal dedication is slated for 18 October at 3 p.m. at the Memorial site.
The support for the 1/75th Ranger Memorial not only comes from fellow Rangers and their loved ones, but from businesses and the Coastal Empire community.
1/75 Memorial Board members are:
| Dave Ermer-President | Richard Eckburg-Vice President |

Dear Fellow Rangers, Family, and Friends The 75th Ranger Regiment has been on a
continual deployment since 9-11; no other Regiment in the US Army has
served Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom as long as
the Ranger Regiment. The men of 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th
Ranger Regiment have deployed 15 times during that time in
Iraq and Afghanistan. 1st Ranger Battalion, a unit in the
Special Operations Command, is at the tip of the spear of our nation’s
defense. The men who serve are extraordinary men of strength, courage,
and bravery. Most Americans can not imagine or comprehend
what these warriors endure both mentally and physically on a daily
basis. As special as every Ranger is, equally
extraordinary are their spouses and their families. Their dedication and
sacrifice for our nation will never be understood and appreciated by
those who have not served. Recently, a new 501c Non-Profit Organization was
formed to support the men of 1st Ranger Battalion and their
families. Specifically, the organization is designed to provide the
needs of the wounded and those who lost their husbands in combat, as
well as their families who give everything for our freedoms. This new organization is the 1st
Ranger Battalion Sua Sponte Foundation. As former Rangers of A Co/1-75, we want to provide
a way to give back to these extraordinary men and their families. So we
decided on an event that would test our physical and mental mettle while
dedicating all our efforts to honor and raise money for the men of 1st
Ranger Battalion and their families. Therefore, on January 7,
2012 we will both individually run a 50KM (32 mile) Ultra Marathon
Trail Run in Columbia, SC (The Harbison 50K). What better way to start
2012 than to give back to those who give it all for us? This will be the
first ultra marathon for either of us. (see race website here:
http://harbison50k.com/details.htm) Our Goal is to raise $10,000 by January 7, 2012.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the 1st
Ranger Battalion Sua Sponte Foundation. In addition, your contribution
is tax deductible. We humbly trust that you will give what you can for
these heroic men and their families who give their all for all
Americans. The PayPal or electronic way to donate will not be
available as a means to donate during our fundraiser so we kindly ask
you to donate the “old school way” via check and snail mail. |

GallantFew, Inc.
is a 501c3 non-profit. Serving veterans on a voluntary basis since 2009,
their focus is providing a network of Ranger vets for vets socially,
professionally, emotionally & physically.
